Nurse² couples the educational features of nursing education software with the practical, day-to-day aspect of charting electronically. A variety of teaching methods ensures flexibility in imparting nursing concepts.
Built-in case scenarios give the students assessment data to use for their documentation. The software’s content mirrors actual software used in hospitals which gives the student the ability to chart any and all types of data.
The feature-rich system has preset flow charts for charting admission histories, physical assessments, treatments and nursing care.
The vital signs area features real-time graphing.
Wound assessments are as easy as clicking on an area of the anatomically correct image.
The “Patient Card” houses the details for individualized patient care simular to a Kardex® used in hospitals.
Documentation of patient teaching is fast, efficient and thorough.
Care Plan construction teaches the fundamentals of the nursing process in the important area of planning patient care.
In addition to giving students hands-on experience with electronic documentation, the software also gives students the experience of ordering labs, radiology, pharmacy and other ancillary orders they will see on Physician’s Orders. This simulated, real-world Order Entry system allows students to learn electronic ordering without the stress on the hall where timeliness is a crucial factor.
Students can also see instructor feedback on assignments and even see their grades.
The student can install nurse² on several different computers, for no extra charge!
Thanks to Microsoft’s ClickOnce Deployment technology, nurse² can be installed on any computer that has internet access and can run Windows (that means Intel-based Macs, too!) . The student can do work in the classroom or simulation lab and then complete assignments from the dorm, WiFi hotspot or even their parent’s house. If the hospital allows, students can even do their Clinical assignments from the hospital.
