What sets NurseSquared apart from other software:

If you are comparing our software with other similar products, we encourage you to please consider the following:

 1.  The price of the system.

2.   Whether there are pre-built forms, ready-to-use or does the faculty have to build their own forms.

3.   Whether the system has embedded scenarios.

4.   Whether the faculty can create their own scenarios.

5.   Whether the system has Order Entry and Order Review areas.

6.   Whether the system can "result" orders in the scenarios at any particular "phase" of the scenario. For example, can a student order a lab and then review the results of that lab later in the scenario?

7.   Whether the system can utilize both "real/current time" as well as "scenario time".

8.   Does the software allow the students to document in "scenario time" when working through a scenario or does it only allow "current date and time"?

9.   Whether the system gives the instructors the ability to assign scenarios to individual students, groups of students or an entire class.

10. Whether the system allows a scenario to be assigned to a simulation mannequin.

11. Whether the system has NCLEX©-type questions embedded in the scenarios.

12. Whether the system has a Kardex® area.

13. Whether the system has a Care Plan area.

14. Whether scenarios can be set up with "expected student documentation". When instructors evaluate student's documentation, NurseSquared cross-references what was "expected" against what was actually documented to show the student's success or lack thereof.

15. Whether the system shows the percentage of correct answers for the NCLEX©-type questions for ease of grading. Can it evaluate the class as a whole?

16. Whether the system has a "lab and diagnostic test" research area for easy look-up of nursing considerations, what the test evaluates, preps needed for the test, specimen handling for the test, tube top and amount of sample needed for the test, reference ranges for the test and much more.

17. Whether the system sets up automatic patients for each student when they access an assigned scenario or does the system require admitting and discharging “patients” for each student.

18. Can the software be used in computer labs, Simulation Labs, the classroom and from home?

19. Can students create their own “patients” to use for their Clinicals?

20. Can the software be put on unlimited numbers of computers? Is there a limitation of concurrent users (allowing only a certain number of users at any given time)?

NurseSquared is different in that it offers a true learning experience over and above students learning to document electronically.  We are proud of our academically-oriented software and feel that it is far superior to anything on the market and is reasonably priced.
