NurseSquared was designed by nurses and individuals who have a background in the hospital information systems arena. We’ve worked with hospital information systems and have installed electronic documentation software in hundreds of hospitals. We’ve seen hospitals spend millions of dollars on computerized documentation systems only to spend additional tens of thousands teaching nurses computer skills. All hospital software affords nurses areas to document assessments and nursing actions. Nurses have difficulty seeing paper and computer charting as being “the same”. We have witnessed, firsthand, the fear and high stress levels nurses face when learning to chart electronically on the hall.
Nursing Data Systems is committed to bridge the gap between school and work. Electronic charting is a skill that has been left out of the collegiate curricula because software written for hospitals can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. This divide must be bridged to make the real-world transition as painless as possible for the new nurse. By developing affordable nursing education software, students will learn to chart electronically in a non-stress environment and will take these skills to every hospital in America.
